Blogging-My Personal Experience

I’ve heard about bloging, known about its popularity yet never experienced its use until now. I have gone as far as to read the works of those who do blog in order to familiarize myself with all the hoopla since I’ve not involved myself wholeheartedly. I thought this the task of creating a blogging would not be much different from using GogleDocs for Collaborative writing. .
My initial reaction centered on the thought, how complicated could this be? I
Knew that blogging was an informative conduit somewhat like a webpage maintained individually in this case by a small group which others could comments using graphics and videos etc. But there were still task involving the assignment that needed more familiarity and instruction. I attributed the event to a previous distance learning class which had tool by which student were scheduled to meet in a preset chat room through the distance learning portal. At anytime a student was able to archive discussions depending upon the project or task. There was an audio option to speak if necessary. I envision us all on line at once talking back and forth, much like my previous college. This set up has some similarities but different in what we were require to do as a small group. The setup included a community of bloggers who would view the site and comment after an invite. With the blog function you can keep and make public entries only available to the group and the instructor, which was very similar. Peer review as a collaborative effort was the major difference in this instance. The process was slow, however once we all figured out that someone had to jump right in and take the initiative right or wrong.
After attending the Face-to-Face block of instruction I’d grasped a little more information but nothing replaces hands on experience. I continued familiarizing myself with any tutorial that would help me to navigate throughout the process. Not too sure of how the collaboration with fellow students worked. Our topic was a great topic—we soon learn that our topic was too broad and our next task was to specify our ideas concerning “Healthy Students.”
I really was excited about having the opportunity to be involved in the whole process because now I can get involve, I having a better idea of how the task works and don’t feel so encumbered about its operation. I won’t feel so left out and behind the technology scheme of things in terms of blogging I can create my own individually and have my students use it as a class project. The ideas are endless.

I think this blog is very interesting and full of worthwhile information, and I love the pictures of food! Obesity and weight-related health problems have come about since I was in school, even since my own children were in school. It has to point to the way people major on fast food, sugar, soft drinks, and being sedentary.
